Olimpias Orkan was formed out of the will to break free from genres and boxes and challenge those trough composition, improvisation and interplay. The music contains both the beautiful and the ugly, the simple and the complex, the raw and the soft and catches ears and hearts of listeners with it's unique sound and honest lyrics. Olimpias Orkan draws inspiration from different genres such as American contemporary jazz (e.g. Briand Blade & The Fellowship band), Swedish modern jazz (e.g. Klabbes Bank, Isabell Sörling Farvel), pop and folk music.

Born out of folk music, RnB and pop in combination with storytelling from Västerbotten in the north of Sweden, Francesca Vincentie tells stories about migration, indentity and belonging. The band has performed at festivals and stages around Sweden, and released their debut album "(Om än) I bitar, ändå hel" in 2020. In januari 2022 they are going on a tour in Indonesia to perform their music and colaborate with local musicians.
